Golden Hour in the Apple Orchard
Vibe: Taking a hayride through an apple orchard. The light is golden, illuminating the dust motes floating serenely through the air.
Golden Hour in the Apple Orchard opens with an apple accord that starts off smelling of fresh apple peel, then morphs into something more cider-like (but not spiced!) throughout the wear. There's a hint of over-ripeness to represent apples that have fallen from the trees. The apple note moves from the foreground to the background of the scent during the wear, letting the perfume's salty-dusty-resinous qualities shine. There is some dry dustiness to this fragrance, and a bit of a savory twist from a labdanum overdose. The hay absolute gives some musty sweetness, but just enough for balance - this isn't a particularly sweet perfume.
Overall, this is an apple + labdanum perfume, with the other notes filling in the ambience: earthiness from the vetiver...dry woods and hay absolute to represent the wagon you're riding in...fir balsam absolute to complement labdanum's sticky balsamic scent...and fruity saffron to complement the apple.
Notes: Apple, Hay, Saffron, Vetiver, Fir Balsam Absolute, Dry Woods, Labdanum
The most popular options are the 0.3ml and 0.5ml (on average, 1ml is 8-12 sprays).
0.3ml is offered as a budget-friendly way to trial scents, but they only come in sample vials (dabbers) and dram bottles as the volume is not atomizer-friendly.
All samples are in Eau de Parfum (EDP) format. All scents listed are sample sizes only, your purchase does not include the original bottle.
While each sample is carefully made using precision tools, there may be slight variations due to the hand-filled nature. Containers may be larger than the sample itself, so it may not come all the way filled as this also helps with preventing overflow and leakage. Dram bottles are amber glass, but due to supplier availability, dram bottles may come in clear glass at times.
