Frequently Asked Questions

What is TAT/Processing Time?
The TAT is how long it takes for me to fulfill your order. It does not include shipping time, as that is determined solely by USPS. All available fragrances shown on the site are in-stock - I do not do pre-orders (listings scents for sale before I physically have it) so you do not have to wait 30-45 days for the brand's TAT!
Something is wrong with my order. What should I do?
So sorry! Everything is done by hand, so mistakes do happen. Please let me know within 24-48 hours of receiving your order and I'd be more than happy to work with you to rectify the situation.

Why do some fragrances look dark and/or are different colors?
The perfume components used can lead to different colors of the fragrance. Vanilla, in particular, is a known culprit - the darkening is caused by vanillin, which is the organic compound that gives vanilla its flavor. It is a 100% natural process and depending on the amount of vanilla in the fragrance, can turn into a light brown to dark/black color (also known as maceration). It is perfectly safe to use! Some actually prefer the macerated version as it allows the notes to deepen.
My sample smells different than what I expected. Why is that?
Body chemistry and maceration will affect the scent - many in the perfume community like to let their fragrance sit for long periods of time to allow the different components blend together. Mail shock is also possible, where exposure to extreme temperatures may alter the profile temporarily. Body chemistry will also change the scent; that's why certain notes can smell floral to one person, and cat pee to another.
What size sample should I get?
A general rule of thumb is 1ml is roughly 10 sprays (so a 0.5ml sample will be roughly 5 sprays etc). Typically the recommendation is to not order more than 0.5-1ml for a new scent, to avoid committing to a scent you may not end up liking. 0.5ml may not look like a lot, but it’s quite enough to test a few times to decide if you may or may not like the scent!
What type of bottle/container should I get?
Personal preference! Sprays are better at dispersing the juice and blooming the scent, whereas bottles are better at isolating to certain spots (pulse point, behind ears etc).
Do you offer larger sizes than what you show?
My goal is to share the unique and special traits of indie perfumers through decanting, so if you truly love a fragrance to where you are wanting a larger/full size, please purchase directly from the perfumer to support their craft. However, I also understand the long TAT may not always be convenient timing for various reasons, so I will see what I can do to accommodate if you reach out.
**SHIPPING**
What if something is damaged?
USPS insures up to $100 for ground shipments within the US. Please send me an email with pictures of the damage(s) so a claim can be filed.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is a flat rate of $5.50 within the US. International is a flat rate of $12 to Canada, and $16 to rest of world. All shipping comes with tracking, and may be subject to additional customs/brokerage fees.
How long does shipping take?
On average, USPS Ground takes 2-5 business days to reach its destination. Unfortunately, there are cases where it may take much longer due to various delays (e.g. weather, unexpected natural disasters). However, all shipments will come with a tracking number, which can be tracked via USPS.com. For international, shipping can take between 1-4 weeks to arrive depending on destination. I use a freight consolidator to keep international costs low, but please do let me know if you want faster methods as they are available for additional cost.
My package shows as delivered, but I can't find it. Who do I reach out to?
You should always start by checking with your local USPS office. Sometimes an order can be scanned but not physically delivered until a later time. Check that the address on file is correct. If you still can't find it, please send me an email and we can open up a claim with USPS to locate the lost package.
